The Spark Enterprise Academy takes delegates through a series of 11 sessions delivered by industry professionals all geared up towards the 12th session where the individual will then pitch their business concept to a panel of real investors.
- The 11 master-class sessions as part of the Academy are –
- Idea Formation
- Preparing for investment
- Preparing to pitch
- After each master-class session, we conduct 1-1 Business Clinics with the delegates to contextual the master-class with their individual business ideas.
- The master-classes lead up a pitching event where the delegates present their ideas to local businesses and investors – after the pitching event, a facilitated networking session is held
- Spark will invite a range of funding organizations, private investors and ongoing support agencies to attend the pitch event.
- We can also deliver a 1 or 2 day intensive Enterprise workshop where the same aims and objectives are achieved
We have delivered this programme and these sessions on behalf of Housing Associations, YMCA, Universities, Colleges and Local Authorities. We can provide a project success / outcome report on request.
What our clients say about Enterprise Academy
“Thanks for all of your hard work in preparing us to set up our businesses, it has been life changing and inspiring for me. I really am excited about putting all that I have learned into practice.”
After years of writing lyrics, I finally decided to get myself into the studio to do something productive with the talent I had been gifted. It initially started as a hobby, something to do to escape me from the sometimes apparent boringness of life. I decided to remix certain songs, one of which was Rihanna’s Rude Boy (called rude girl for obvious reasons), and once done, I passed this onto Jamie. I didn’t actually know Jamie that well, but what he did with my remixed song was remarkable. On a very hot Saturday morning, my friend had told me on Facebook that he had heard my song on radio, to my amazement. After tracing who could have got it to the station, I realised it was Jamie. This was just the start. Through his entrepreneurialism, heart and dedication to ‘believing and achieving’, I’m now in contact with producers who work with established artists such as Skepta, Ghetts, Devlin and Marvel to name a few, and this all came from Jamie’s doing. He’s a testament to believing in a dream and also my potential success.’ Believe it and achieve it.’

The Mighty Creatives
Jamie Dunn delivered an inspirational presentation and goal setting workshop for a group of eight “NEET” young people for The Mighty Creatives’ (TMC) Ideas Generation social enterprise training programme.
Jamie talked to the young people about his personal journey and how he managed to stay motivated despite the challenges he faced. His message was that if he could do it, so could the young people in the room. The energy and tenacity needed to become a successful entrepreneur he likened to skills needed to deal drugs; why bother putting all your energies into illegal and dangerous activities when you could be legal and successful?
Jamie then taught the group how to “eat and elephant” which was a way to get them to break down the skills, qualities and qualifications necessary to get them from where they are now to where they ideally want to be.
Jamie was honest, open, accessible and friendly with the young people, whilst also approaching the session professionally in terms of the materials he prepared and brought with him.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Jamie as an inspirational speaker and mentor to young people, particularly those who are struggling to find their way.
